We here at WeddingStory were happy to have Peter and Jessica be a part of our first pre-wedding video shoot. Their pre-wedding day out gave them a chance to reminisce on the times before they became happily engaged.
During the interview, the couple tells us the story of their relationship and the proposal:
They had met through a common friend, but Peter had seen her twice before he was able to work up the courage to ask her out. The first time he saw her he remembers thinking "wow this girl is so pretty", but funny enough, Jessica couldn't recall seeing him the other two times as she wasn't aware that this complete stranger had a secret crush on her. After finally being able to ask Jessica for her number, things only grew from there. They remember their simple first date - a dinner and a movie, and although Jessica thought the movie was terrible, she makes it clear that the movie wasn't what was memorable about that day.
Another highlight of their relationship was the time Jessica had to leave for Calgary. Peter had planned a surprise for her a week before her departure, taking her eye shopping and secretly buying a necklace that she fell for. Jessica of course, was taken by surprise and couldn't put the necklace down even during dinner. Peter remembers Jessica being emotional and that was a special day to remember over the course of their relationship.
Peter was confident that Jessica had no idea about the proposal but Jessica giggles and explains that she knew what was going on by how weird he was being. They look at each other and laugh as they recall the day. The proposal was carefully and creatively planned out by Peter as he had prepared a red carpet with a heart at the end. Peter had asked Jessica to come over and when she did, she was taken back by his amazing set up. They walked up the red carpet and Peter proposed to Jessica standing in the middle of the heart.
It was heartwarming to re-live the memories of their blossoming love through their personal story and we will always remember this beautiful couple and their story.
